The program includes two Kabuki dance classics in full costumes, makeup, and wigs : Fuji Musume (Wisteria Maiden) and Shakkyô (Lion Dance), contrasting the lyric style of the onnagata (actor specializing in female roles) with that of the dynamic, acrobatic style represented in the heroic Lion Dance.
